The Clark Flex-Rod separates the beds for Clark double hammocks so that you can hang between two trees instead of three. The Flex-Rod specifically fits the Flex-360, but will also work on Vertex and VX models as long as they have the Timp-Hitch suspension installed.
A Note About Use with Vertex and VX models:
The Flex-Rod is not intended to spread VX and Vertex models to their full width. The wider the bar is, the more the hammock can become unstable or create a lot of bed movement when you enter and exit. The Flex-Rod is an adequate width to separate the occupants so that they aren’t bumping shoulders, while short enough to allow the hammock to have minimal movement when getting in and out.
The Timp-Hitch suspension system comes with one strap that has two slings attached and two other straps with a single sling attached. Usually, the single slings are connected to the wide end of the hammock (head end connections). However, when using the flex rod, we recommend using the two slings that attached to one strap to hang the wide head end. Then place the remaining straps on the foot end tree (one above the other). This method will help keep the Flex-Rod from falling off easily.
